iPAD SET-UP




This set-up manual will help you to do your first steps with the iPad. Please read it carefully and follow the points step by step or watch the following videos.

If you are an IT or Business Support pre-enrolling with a Staging User, please follow the "Staging Enrollment guide".

1. The iPAD



Make yourself familiar with the keys/buttons of the iPad



2. SIM-Card



Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the SIM tray, then press firmly and push the tool straight in until the tray pops out.
Pull out the SIM tray to install or replace the SIM card. If you don't have a SIM eject tool, try the end of a small paper clip.



** Before you begin this guide, it is important to remember you'll only need to do either step 6 or step 7.

EG: If you do step 6, ignore step 7 or viceversa**

3. Turn ON



Press and hold the «sleep/wake» button and swipe the slider from left to right.



4. Language and country



Choose the language: "English"
Scroll and choose the local country, in which you are located at the moment.





5. Wi-Fi



Connect to a Wi-Fi or mobile (3G/4G) network.

  • For Wi-Fi, select the desired Wi-Fi and type the Wi-Fi password and click "connect"
  • For 3G/4G connection, tap on "Use Mobile Connection" click "connect"


  • If your SIM card is PIN protected, you'll be asked to type the PIN. To disable SIM PIN lock in your iPad, follow the guide you'll find here





    Once you've connected to a Wifi or 3G/4G Connection, the activation of the iPad will begin. The activation process can take up to 5 minutes, please be patient.





    ** If the screens on your iPad doesn't look like the ones described on this step, please move forward to step 7 Activation & Log-in (NO-DEP)**

    Once the activation finishes, you'll be asked to type your TUI.COM or TUI ESPAÑA credentials (both are the same).
    In case you know your TUI.COM username and password, type it (name.surname, do NOT add @tui.com) and tap on Next.
    In case you don't know your TUI.COM username and password, please, contact your Service Manager / Business Support.





    After a few seconds, your iPad will be enrolled, tap on "Get Started" to go on.



    Once the iPad loaded the Dashboard, please, wait a few minutes until the Airwatch App is downloaded automatically from the server.

    **Do NOT download the Airwatch App on the Apple Store, it will be downloaded empty. Wait to get it automatically from the server, it will download with your data embeded, allowing you to download the rest of corporate apps**

    Once the Airwatch App is installed, tap on it to start it. It'll take a few minutes to login, but it'll end up showing an image like the one seen below.



    Go back to the Dashboard screen and find and tap on Settings. You'll be asked to type your tuiad password for your email account.



    Once you did this, you have finished the enrollment process.

    ** If you've been able to enrol the device following Step 6, please ignore step 7 and move forward to step "8. SET-UP A PASSCODE"**

    ** If you've haven't got the "Tui España will automaticaly set-up your iPad" screen, press over "7. ACTIVATION & LOG-IN (NO-DEP)" button**

    7. Activation (NO-DEP)


    ** Please, remember you will only need to do this step if your device doesn't show "Tui España will automatically set-up your device" as shown on Step 7**

    Once the activation finishes, you'll be guided through a wizard in order to set-up your device. Please, follow our instructions on the guide.
    The screens not shown on the guide are mostly user-decissions for the iPad usage. You can set-it up as desired.





    Please, don't add a passcode (you'll be required to do so later)



    During the wizard, you'll be asked to create a new Apple ID, please, skip this step, as it'll be done later.



    Please, Agree the Terms & Conditions



    The rest of the screens are mostly user-decissions for the iPad usage. You can set-it up as desired.

    When you finish the wizard, you can tap on "Get Started" to go on.

    7.1 Get the Airwatch Intelligent Hub (previously known as Agent) App (NO-DEP)

    ** Please, remember you will only need to do this step if your device doesn't show "Tui España will automatically set-up your device" as shown on Step 6**

    On the dashboard, find and tap on "App Store" .

    Type "Vmware Intelligent Hub" in the search box.

    Find Intelligent Hub and tap on Get/Install.



    You'll get a pop-up asking to:



    Use Existing Apple ID: If you already have an Apple ID, you can use it.

    Create New Apple ID: Use this option if you don't have one or you want to create a new one.

    AppleID's usernames and passwords are not controlled by any TUIDX department and need to be managed by the end-user itself.
    This can be achieved through the Apple ID website where you will be able to reset your password etc.


    Once the Intelligent Hub App is downloaded press the Home Button, find the Hub App, and tap on it.



    7.2 Enroll the iPAD in Airwatch (NO-DEP)

    ** You'll only need to do this step if your device doesn't show "Tui España will automatically set-up your device" as shown on Step 6**

    First time you run the Intelligent Hub App, you'll need to set up the "Server Details".

    You'll be asked to input data:

    Server: group.mdm-tui.com

    Group ID: TUIAD





    After a few seconds, you'll be asked to type your TUI.COM credentials.
    In case you know your TUI.COM username (name.surname@tui.com) and password, type it and tap on Next.
    In case you don't know your TUI.COM username and password, please, contact your Service Manager / Business Support. In order to unificate all the rep's processes, TUIUK credentials are no longer allowed.



    Wait a few seconds until the system recognizes your user. You'll be asked to read and accept the Terms of use, please, make sure you read this. Then tap on Accept.



    Click "Next" on the Workspace Services page.



    Click on "Allow" when the "This website is tryin' to open Settings to show you a configuration profile..." message is displayed.



    You'll get asked to install a profile on the iPad. Tap on install to start the profile installation process.



    During the profile installation process, you'll need to tap on install three times on Install, and then tap on Trust.



    Once the process finishes, tap on "Done"



    The iPad will go back to Safari and will ask you to open this page in Hub, tap on Open.


    The Intelligent Hub app should come back to your screen showing an "Authentication Complete" message. Tap on Done.



    You'll get asked a few questions now:
    "Intelligent Hub" would like to send you notifications: Please, tap on Allow.

    If Airwatch needs to comunicate with you, you'll get a notification on the Airwatch App.



    Allow "Intelligent Hub" to access your location even when you're not using the App: Please all the Intelligent Hub to use your location even when you are not using the app.
    Although this may sound like you are being tracked, this will allow us to track your device should it be lost/stolen. AirWatch will also be able to present you with new information/help based on your location.





    Go back to the Dashboard screen and find and tap on Settings. You'll be asked to type your tuiad password for your email account.



    Once you did this, you have finished the enrollment process.



    8. Set-up a passcode

    A few seconds after you start using your iPad, this will ask you to set-up a passcode. This is the passcode you'll need to type everytime you unlock the iPad.

    Passcode Requirements:

  • Min Passcode Length: 4 characters (even if you are prompt with a six-digit passcode message you can configure a 4 digit one).



  • It will ask you to change it every 90 days / You won't be allowed to use the same password as you used the last time you changed it.
  • Once you set it up, your iPad will auto-lock after 10 minutes without using it.
  • Your passcode will be asked everytime it needs to be unlocked.
  • In case you fail typing your passcode for 7 times, your iPad will be wiped erasing all the information. You'll be required to do all this guide again.
  • After the 5th attempt your iPad will be disabled for 1 minute
  • After the 6th attempt your iPad will be disabled for 5 minutes
  • If you fail a few times, or you think you've forgotten your password, you should contact MyServicedesk.

    Once you have a passcode in mind, type it in order to check if it meets the requirements. If it's a good choice, you'll be asked to type it in again in order to save it.
    60 minutes past since the enrollment, you'll be forced to set-up a passcode (in case you haven't).





  • 9. Apple ID Set-up

    In order to create a New Apple ID, open the Apple Store app, search for a free applicaton (for example "Google Maps") and click over the "get" button.



    Click over Create New Apple ID



    Type your email address (this can be a personal or coporate account) and a password.



    Set up your personal information and the security questions. Click Next.



    On the Payment Method select None. Fill in the Billing name and Billing Address. Click Next.



    You'll receive an email verification in your mailbox, enter the Verification code and click Next.



    Click on "Continue" to finish the set up.



    The first time you try to install an App you'll be requested to sig in with the Apple ID configured.





    10. Skype for Business Set-up

    Follow these steps to install the Skype for Business app on your iPAD. The application can be downloaded from the TUI App Catalog or from the Apple store.

    Once the app is downloaded, you'll be asked to sign-in. Proceed to fill out the fields as shown below:

    Sign in address: name.surname@tuigroup.com

    Password: Your password, same as @tui.com email.

    Tap on Advanced Options:

    After tap on Advanced Options, tap on "User Name" field.


    Type your name.surname@tui.com address and then tap on the "x" icon on the top left screen. Once you're on the Sign in screen again, tap on Sign in button (below Advanced Options).





    11. OneDrive Set-up

    Follow these steps to install and use the corporate OneDrive cloud storage app on your iPAD.

    Install OneDrive app by going to the App Store.



    Search for Microsoft OneDrive app and install it by selecting the Download button.



    Once downloaded open the app.



    In the home screen enter your @tui.com email address.



    You will be prompt to the TUI Group Sign-in platform where you have to enter your TUI credentials.



    To send any file to OneDrive you have to select the upload button on any compatible app



    Select the files and click over the OneDrive app icon to send the files to your cloud account.



    TIP: If you can't see the OneDrive option you have to add it by using the "More" option.



    To activate OneDrive make sure the slider is activated.





    12. Outlook Shared Mailbox Set-up

    Your personal email address will be automatically set up once your iPad gets enrolled. In case you also need to check a shared mailbox account, you can add it following these steps:

    First of all, make sure you have access to the shared mailbox. If necessary, please ask your manager to open a request ticket through MyServicedesk portal.

    Open Settings, Accounts & Passwords and tap over Add Account



    Tap on Other



    Tap on Add Mail Account.



    Enter the information requested. Password here is your personal @tui.com password. Click Next.



    On the next screen, enter the following information as shown on the image and then tap Next.

    Remember you have to type your personal @tui.com password.



    The device will start to verify if the data is correct.

    Once is verifyed make sure the Mail option is activated. Tap Save.



    Once the account has been added, we need to modify it. Tap over the account name.



    Tap again over the account name.



    Tap over the SMTP option located on the OUTGOING MAIL SERVER section.



    Tap over smtp.office365.com located on the PRIMARY SERVER section.



    Make sure that the information is shown like on the screenshot. It is possible you find the username and password fields empty, if so, please fill in the missing information and tap Done.



    The shared mailbox will appear now in the Mail app on the left panel.



    Be aware this shared mailbox is configured with your personal credentials. It will only work as long as you have the proper access to the shared mailbox.

    The shared mailbox calendar won't be synced with the iPAD calendar app.

    In case you change your password, a warning will appear at the bottom of the Mail app.



    To fix this you need to update your password. Go to Settings, Accounts & passwords, select the account and update your password from both the Incoming Mail Server option and within the Outgoing Mail Server option









    13. What did you get on your iPad?

    When the enrolment finished (either if it was through step 7 or 8) your iPad began to setup the company settings described below:

  • Mail Address: Your @tui.com account will be set-up on your Mail App.
  • Security Settings: As the device will contain corporate data we require a passcode.
  • VPN & WiFi: On selected offices your ipad will automatically connect to TUI WiFi.
  • App Catalog: You can find here apps that will help you on your daily duty. Give it a try!
  • HelpLine: Find here quick answers to Frequently Asked Questions. This is being updated constantly. Make sure you check it every once in a while, it may solve your problem faster than raising a ticket.
  • Shortcuts to internal websites like OneServicePoint, @Com, etc...
  • Additionally some apps you'll need for your daily work will be downloaded.
