Android Self Service Setup



Follow the steps detailed on this guide in order to setup your @tui.com account on your Android mobile phone device.

Please note that these screens are an example of an android device and could change from one model to another but should be quite similar


Step 1: Important information


Before you begin, there's a few terms we need to clarify:

TUI Account: This is your corporate account. You'll need this account to set-up your corporate email on the device

Google Account: This is an account between you and Google.

  • You'll need this account to download Apps from Play Store (like Skype for Business).

  • In case you forget about your google account credentials, you'll need to request a new password here .

Samsung Account: This is an account between you and Samsung.

  • You'll need this account to download Samsung Apps - This account is not 100% mandatory.

PIN Code: This is the PIN Code to unlock your SIM CARD.

  • In case you forget you can ask ServiceDesk to provide it.

Passcode/Password: This is the passcode/password you'll need to unlock your phone everytime it's locked

  • You must remember this one as ServiceDesk can't change it. If you forget, you will no longer be able to unlock your device.

Step 2: Initial Set-up

  1. Power on your device using the power button (usually on the right side)
    Follow the instructions on-screen until your phone requests you to type the PIN Code

  2. Once the phone starts, you'll be asked to type in the PIN Code. Type your PIN Code and tap on OK

    Your phone will ask you to select a language. Type on the arrow to continue.


  3. A pop-up window will ask you to Agree the Terms and Conditions, tap on Next.


  4. Your phone will ask you to connect to a WIFI. You can do it in case you have a trusted network in range, otherwise, tap on Skip.


  5. Your phone will try to find software updates.


  6. Your phone will ask you to Sign in with your Google Account or create a new one. There's 3 available options here:

    1. If you already have a Google Account and you want to use it on this phone, type it in and follow the guide on screen to log in.
    2. If you don't have a Google Account or you want to create a new one, tap on "Or create a new account". Follow the guide on screen to log in.
    3. As a third option, you can skip this step now and set-it up later.


  7. Your phone will ask you to set-up Google services. This can be set-up as you want. Scroll down and tap on More


  8. Your phone will ask you to protect your device. You can set it now or later.


  9. You will now be presented the home screen on your device

Step 3: @TUI.com Account Set-up

  1. On your device's tap on "Play Store"


  2. In case you didn't logged in / created a Google Account on the Initial Set-up (earlier on this guide), you'll be required to do so now in order to download Outlook Appication

    1. If you already have a Google Account and you want to use it on this phone, type it in and follow the guide on screen to log in.
    2. If you don't have a Google Account or you want to create a new one, tap on "Or create a new account". Follow the guide on screen to log in.
    In any case, follow the instructions on screen to do so.


  3. Once you are done with Google Account, you will access "Play Store"


  4. Tap on the search field (on the top) and type "Outlook". Tap on "Microsoft Outlook" when the Outlook icon appears

  5. On the next screen, tap on "Install"


  6. The download will start, depending on your internet connection speed, it can take some time.


  7. Once the app installs, a new button "Open" will appear. Tap on it to start Outlook App


  8. Your phone will start now the Outlook app. Tap on "Get Started"


  9. You'll be required to type in your email address

    Email: Type youremail@tui.com



  10. Your device will show now the TUI Group login screen with your user already written. Fill in the password and tap on "Sign In"

    Password: Your @tui.com password



  11. You'll be asked to add another account. Tap on SKIP


  12. Outlook app will show you a brief "how-to use the app". You can check it by tapping on the "next arrow" or skip it tapping on "Skip"


  13. In a few minutes, your emails will start downloading to your phone. This process can take some time depending on how many emails you have and the quality / speed of your internet connection


  14. You'll find icons for Mail / Search / Calendar on the lower part on Outlook App

    • Mail will take you to your corporate inbox
    • Search will show your contacts / files
    • Contacts will show your corporate calendar


  15. Once your mailbox account is configured on the phone, you'll be able to sync your Outlook contacts with the Phone contacts following these steps:

    Tap over the Settings (cogwheel) icon.



    On the Settings screen, tap over your email address.



    Tab on the Sync contacts toggle switch.



    Your Outlook contacts will appear now listed as phone contacts

Step 4: Shared mailbox Set-up

First of all make sure your Outlook mobile app has been updated, it won't work with old app versions. Also make sure you have shared mailbox access permissions, if necessary request your manager to open a ticke through My Servicedesk to request access for your user account.

Follow these steps to configure the shared mailbox on your mobile device

  1. Open the Outlook app and navigate to the settings menu.


  2. Tap in add account.


  3. Tap in Add a shared mailbox.


  4. Select an account to log in with (your personal account)


  5. Enter the shared mailbox email address


  6. The shared mailbox bookmark will appear now on your Outlook mobile app

Step 5: Skype for Business Set-up

  1. Follow these steps to download and configure Skype for Business in your mobile device

  2. Open Play Store app and search for the Skype for Business for Android application.


  3. Install the application and open it.


  4. Accept the Terms of Use.


  5. On the "Welcome" screen, type over the arrow to sign in.


  6. Type your organization sign-in address, be aware this will be your tuiad username@tuigroup.com.Then tap on Advanced options.


  7. Type your tuiad user name (name.surname@tui.com). Tap over Advanced options to get back to the sign in screen.


  8. Type your tuiad password (same as Windows / Outlook) and press over the arrow to sing in.


  9. If you're connected on an external network, the "Sign in with your TUI network account" will show up. Log in with your username@tui.com credentials


  10. Introduce your phone number and click over the arrow to finish the sing in process.


  11. The Skype for Business application will be opened.

Step 6: After TUI Set-up Information

Now that your TUI account is set-up, there's a few things you need to take into account:

  • My Servicedesk: My Servicedesk is only supporting corporate data (e-mail, calendar, contacts) or device configuration process on Devices provided by TUIDX.

    • My Servicedesk will not support any set-up on Personal (bought by yourself) Devices

  • Apps: This devices have access through the Play Store (formerly known as Android Market) with a wide variety of applications (+500000 apps)

    • We cannot provide support for each one of those apps. Therefore, we can only provide support for corporate data (e-mail, calendar, contacts).

    • Some of this apps are free, either are paid. The apps bought on the Play Store cannot be liquidated as Liquidation Expenses for the Business.
